The History Behind The Ministry

The Ministry began in 1998 as a class held on Sunday nights in a church. The class was designed to be a place where women could feel safe to talk about real-life problems and receive biblical answers without being judged. My belief was that we could empathize with another woman’s situation and, with God’s guidance, lead her on the right path. God then gave me the desire to reach out more to the community and take the ministry to a new level. Along with six other people, a core was formed and the nonprofit organization - Healing Hearts was born.

President of Ministry

Linda Smith, is the Founder and President of Healing Hearts Ministry Outreach, Inc. It was her desire to help women in need – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. God laid it upon her heart to reach out to those who – for what ever reason, have gotten into a situation where they felt trapped. But the Lord gave her the privilege to help many women. She understands where they are because she has been in those same situations of need. In fact the Lord allows her to use her circumstances (past and present) to relate with women and families in a real way.

Staff and Volunteers

Healing Hearts staff and volunteers consists of women who also have experienced a need at some point in their lives. They have the heart’s desire to show compassion to other women and their families.
